Core-Tex™

In this concise video, Core-Tex inventor Anthony Carey shares why reactive training and reactive variability is a critical component of movement training for people of all levels and abilities.
In honor of the 22 Kill Project bringing awareness to the crisis of military veterans committing suicide.  George-Anthony Dulal-Whiteway, a 9 year active Marine and former Drill Sargent demonstrates 22 push-up variations using the Core-Tex.
Use this incredible shoulder exercise for rehab or for warming-up your shoulders for throwing, hitting, tennis, golf, etc.  We take the well known D2 PNF pattern and use it vertically with the rotational aspect of the Core-Tex.  This is one of the most effective shoulder exercises you will ever do.
Here is a great example of taking a "known" exercise-the side plank, and making it better.  By adding the motion available with the Core-Tex, the variability adds to what the nervous system must adapt to and how the body can dissipate stress across more structures.
People often ask me what are my favorite Core-Tex exercises. Three of them shown here are 3 of my favorites because they are movements that are unique to the Core-Tex and the patented motion.
Here's the official clip from Spike TV of the first part of the Core-Tex episode where the judges, Randy Hetrick, Jillian Michaels and Obi Obadike are first introduced to the Core-Tex.  They quickly realize that it is the real deal!
This is an MMA inspired advanced strength and metabolic exercise with the Core-Tex. Remove the handrail for 360 motion around the platform. Time your chest and foot to hit together. A couple of revolutions of this and your heart will be pounding!
Use the Core-Tex platform as an environment to allow the user to create motion in the the joints and tissue of the foot and ankle. By pre-positioning the feet and hips, the rotation of the Core-Tex can authentically create these motions.  No need for continual hands on work by a therapist when the Core-Tex can create and reinforce your work.
Dave Gottfield, Founder and President of Spark Motion is an injury prevention and rehab specialist.  Here he shows some amazing hip mobility strategies that are uniquely enhanced by the motion of the Core-Tex.

This single subject study was a first to look at individual muscle responses along with acceleration of the Core-Tex platform.  Our long-term research goals are to validate the mechanisms and benefit to reactive training and reactive variability.

We would like to thank the team at AKI Movement Lab in Santa Barbara for their work on this project.

An often overlooked way to both control the Core-Tex platform and interact with the client or patient is for you to control the platform. The coach or therapists can:
  • stabilize the platform with your hands
  • guide the motion of the platform with your hands
  • create abrupt starts and stops for your client or patient to react to

This short video will give you some insight how you (or a workout partner) can interact with the Core-Tex platform and user.

Bonus:  Pay attention to the sound of the new Core-Tex....

Here is a great example of how the rotational component of the Core-Tex is superior to any other product in producing the functional movement(s) that correlate with the activity.

Using these 3 simple moves, rotation is increased at both the hips and thoracic spine, heat is brought to the tissue and the nervous system is excited in golf related movements.
