You’re about to get detailed insight into an incredibly unique piece of equipment that is basically a Swiss Army Knife for optimizing numerous aspects of human movement.

It’s known as the Core-Tex Reactive Trainer. I bought it a few months ago and have been putting it through its paces, and…let’s just say it offers some very unique features we need to talk about.

As a physical therapist and strength & conditioning specialist who is obnoxiously passionate about helping patients and athletes overcome injuries and maximize their physical performance, I’m always on the hunt for equipment that can make a difference in their lives.

We are fortunate to have Coach Mike Guevara offer up some progressions for the rear foot elevated version of the Split Squat with Core-Tex.  Having the rear foot elevated ensures that weight transfer to the front leg on Core-Tex.
We love a heavy barbell workout as much as anyone.  But for athleticism, reactivity and joint integrity you can't beat Core-Tex.  These are just a few examples where you can load up your chest, shoulders and core like only Core-Tex can.
Core-Tex inventor, Anthony Carey was commissioned by the American Council on Exercise to share the "why" behind the value reactive training and reactive variability for the client, patient, athlete or YOU.
All unstable surfaces are not the same. When looking at the literature, it is often very challenging to differentiate between types of surfaces used in any given study or what is being compared in systematic reviews. This matters because they each have their own characteristics. Here, Core-Tex inventor and biomechanics expert Anthony Carey discusses some of the principles.

Core-Tex Inventor Anthony Carey shares the fundamentals of Core-Tex and Reactive Training with Larry Indiviglia. Larry is a Todd Durkin Mastermind Coach and one of Todd's most trusted team members.

Anthony offers great insight into the applications and science with Larry.

We put together a sample of some of the MANY applications possible with the reactive environment of Core-Tex.  Looking for:

  • Mobility?
  • Metabolic work?
  • Shoulder rehab?
  • Hip rehab?
  • Strength?
  • Core work?

You can do it with Core-Tex!!!!

An exercise environment that moves in the transverse plane is a game changer. Use these 5 exercises to spice up any workout combining core work, strength and metabolic demand.
We always say, Core-Tex plays well with others.  As a reactive environment, you can mix and match many of your favorite tools with Core-Tex to enhance and/or vary the challenge.  In this video, Core-Tex inventor Anthony Carey and Halo inventor Bryce Taylor have some fun integrating both products into a workout.
This 30 second combo of mountain climbers, push-ups and wrestler spins is a great way to keep members and coaches engaged and challenges the decision making and neuromuscular reaction of the participants.  Try it and see how fast the heart rate climbs!

A traditional yoga flow can be progressed by using the Core-Tex platform to introduce some reactive variability to the body. Using the handrail for added stability-the tilt, slide and translation of Core-Tex can create an entirely novel user experience.

By introducing the transverse plane alone to these moves, the body's muscles, joints and righting reflexes are challenged in ways unique to the Core-Tex experience.
This is another great example of how the environment created by Core-Tex can be applied to an incredible number of fitness and rehabilitative objectives.
