Core-Tex™

Using the spiraling motion of the PNF pattern, and the coil-to-uncoil applications of Core-Tex, we can produce an fully integrated movement for the shoulder girdle.  Pay special attention to the cues for hand positioning to optimize the response of the entire shoulder girdle and thoracic back.
How do you prepare a multi-directional joint to be resilient? By training it in multiple directions. The patented motion of Core-Tex feeds all the necessary variables to develop tissue strengthen and resiliency along all vectors while providing the motor system the stimulus to develop the needed strategies for the necessary stability and control.
Sometimes the gleno-humeral joint, scapula and rib cage need to be reminded how much they need to cooperate.  Using the rotational aspect of Core-Tex and driving a bottom-up reciprocal rotation between the pelvis and thoracic spine gets this done for you.  This "coil to uncoil" combined with various arm reaches enhances scapular motion and reinforces the shoulders connection obliquely to the opposite hip both through the anterior and posterior oblique lines.

Take your Core-Tex off the floor and open up incredible opportunities for the shoulder girdle. Use it for prehab, rehab, or dynamic warm-ups. Try these extremely effective exercises for your shoulder patients, athletes or clients.

The moves you'll see here will add valuable applications and novel ways to address the shoulder joint and shoulder girdle.

Why not take a "known" rehab  exercise and progress it in a novel and functional way?  Take a look at how you can create a progression for your rotator cuff patients and athletes.

Take advantage of the motion of Core-Tex, the stability of the handrail and a few mini bands and you have a rotator cuff strengthening exercise that is more integrated and more interesting to your patient.

Let that scapula dance!

The thoracic spine is a key link in all sport rotational requirements. Limitations will transfer responsibilities to places that are not designed to rotate the same (like the lower back). Using Core-Tex to create rotation in a novel way-from the bottom up changes the input to the nervous system and creates opportunity for significant improvement.  Sprinkle in the variability of the platform and you have a very powerful way to improve thoracic rotation!
This single arm work is going to light up the core and shoulder stabilization. The reactive variability of Core-Tex turns on all the stabilizers through the core and shoulder girdle in response to all of the available movements of Core-Tex. A big "thank you" from John Sinclair of Hive Performance for sharing with us.
If you really want optimal shoulder health, than the dance that the scapula does on the back of your rib cage is the motion that dictates the playing field.  In this video, we take a very fit professional personal trainer, with a history of a distal left pectoralis tear-through a full protocol of scapulo-thoracic mobility and integration.
Take this familiar arm position we use on the wall to mobilize the thoracic spine, add the patented motion of Core-Tex and you have a very unique and effective way to enhance scapular motion.  This is also a great move to help mobilize the tissue inferior to the posterior shoulder joint.
Use this incredible shoulder exercise for rehab or for warming-up your shoulders for throwing, hitting, tennis, golf, etc.  We take the well known D2 PNF pattern and use it vertically with the rotational aspect of the Core-Tex.  This is one of the most effective shoulder exercises you will ever do.
