Core-Tex Kneeling Hip Mobility Matrix

The environment created by the Core-Tex™ is ideal for creating soft tissue mobility and extensibility.  This is what we refer to as “usable” flexibility.

Position the user strategically and you can use the motion of the Core-Tex™ to guide the body part in the direction that creates length or the sense of stretch.  Here’s what makes it AWESOME-because the Core-Tex moves unrestricted in all planes of motion, as the platform is creating the tissue length, the nervous system is regulating the degree of stretch.

This is referred to lengthening under load and how we build resiliency into our soft tissue to prevent injury and improve performance.

A critical component to the execution of the mobility moves on the Core-Tex™ is using the rythmical motions that the Core-Tex™ produces to create mobility gains that are amazing.

Who likes to lay around a stretch?  Not very many people.  But give them a chance to be engaged while creating mobility and they will stick to your program and enjoy the process.

  • Physios and chiropractors can have patients perform movements independently without occupying valuable staff time.
  • Fitness pros and have clients use on their own to prepare for a session
  • Golfers can have in the clubhouse by the first tee

We often see our Core-Tex family assume upright balance training on Core-Tex goes from two hands on the handrail to hands free and no use of the handrail.  In other words, going from the most help to the least help. This may lead to a misinterpretation of Core-Tex being "too advanced" and a missed opportunity to scale your balance progressions in a way that allows the user to be successful.
Core-Tex plays well with others.  With the increased interest and research around dual tasking of cognitive exercises plus motor challenges, Core-Tex is emerging as a clinical favorite for many reasons:
The study we are sharing with you in this post looked at strength training of 58 older women and 6 males under age 70 .  The comparison was strength training with vs. without the use of unstable surfaces.
