Anthony Carey, MA, CSCS, ACE-AHFS, holds a Master’s degree in biomechanics and athletic training and owns, Function First, located in San Diego, California, which was named San Diego's 2011 BEST Alternative Exercise Studio by the readers of the San Diego Union Tribune; as well as, named among San Diego’s 2011 and 2010 “Best Of” Personal Trainers/Studios. Olden Carr , Chief Operating Officer and Inventor of The Core-Tex™
Olden Carr has manufacturing and engineering experience that spans a broad range of industries and applications, over the last 20+ years. He has overseen manufacturing and engineering applications for industrial and military products and services. As a manufacturing executive, Olden has successfully led initiatives in quality management systems (QMS), process and product quality and regulation, to maintain overall efficiencies in the production processes, distribution and supply chain. Olden's background in hardware design and integration has seen several products over the last several years introduced for the commercial markets. Through project management, he has been involved in the product development cycle, design and planning to manufacturing and distributions phases. Olden has a working knowledge of materials and fabrication methodologies in plastics and metals, mold design and processes and machining and finishing. He has worked with domestic and international third party regulatory agencies including UL, FAA, DoD, FM, CSA, Sira, and ISO. A graduate of Trenton State College, he received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

Derrick Price, Core-Tex™ Master Trainer
Derrick Price has been active on many levels in the fitness industry for over eight years. He holds a MS in Exercise Science and Health Promotion with an emphasis on injury prevention and performance enhancement from the California University of Pennsylvania where he has also spent time as an Adjunct Faculty member teaching courses in Exercise Program Design. Aside from personal training at the acclaimed Function First exercise studio in San Diego, CA. Derrick also is a Master Trainer for ViPR, PowerPlate, and Technogym. He began his educational career as a Master Instructor for the National Academy of Sports Medicine and has since moved on to become a Faculty Member for the Personal Training Academy Global. Kenneth Miller, Core-Tex™ Master Trainer
Kenneth Miller has been in the fitness and sports performance industry for the last 20 years. He has worked in the corporate wellness field, personal training, fitness management, strength and conditioning coach, and reconditioning coordinator. Currently, Ken is the Sports Performance Coordinator at Diablo Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine in Danville, CA. He has worked with clients from all fitness and sports backgrounds from youth to senior populations and Junior High to Professional and Olympic level athletes. Kevin Murray, Core-Tex™ Master Trainer
Kevin Murray holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management: Wellness and Fitness, and is a sessional instructor in the Full Time Personal Fitness Trainer Diploma Program, which is offered through NAIT: Canada’s largest Polytechnic institution.
Kevin is a Function First Educator and has trained extensively with Anthony out of his Function First studio in San Diego. He also works for Thomas Myers as an Anatomy Trains® Associate Teacher. Wendy Cole, Core-Tex™ Master Trainer
Wendy Cole has had a wide variety of experiences in the fitness industry. Wendy owned and operated her own fitness studio on the island of Catalina, CA. In addition to training a diverse clientele, she was involved in many aspects of Catalina's community health programs. In 2010, Wendy moved to San Diego for a two year internship with Function First, where she trained exclusivley with Anthony Carey. Wendy enjoys working with clients in an array of formats. Abraham Nikhil, Core-Tex™ Master Trainer
Nik holds numerous accredited professional Fitness Certifications and has almost ten years worth of experience as a successful business owner and coach. Nik is the owner of Phyzique Pte Ltd in Singapore, as well as a FISAF Examiner and Educator and is ranked as one of Singapore’s top trainers today. His relentless pursuit for knowledge, have taken Nik around the world learning from some of the top educators in this industry today. Nick is also a ViPR National Master Trainer, Cross Core Master Trainer (Asia) and M.E.T Faculty Member (Asia). In addition to running a successful fitness business and being a dedicated father, Nik is also an award-winning actor. His expertise in acting and personal presentation have enabled Nik to develop a unique method of training that was utilized and highlighted as the chosen preparation program for Ford Supermodel Singapore. Seth Ronland - SCSC, PT, BFNS, FAFS, holds degrees in both exercise physiology and nutrition and has over 12 years of experience in the fitness industry. He was awarded the 2011 Personal Trainer of the year in Sweden where he operates his facility, Breeze Fitness, and is mostly active with clients and teaching. Seth works with numerous companies in the industry all over the world as a teacher and coach. His career started with personal training in 2001 and has since moved to different educations including Gary Grays GIFT, Sports Medicine and Dry Needling. Casey Arnold- BS-CPT has over 8 years of experience in fitness industry as a coach, trainer, and educator. Her career began at the University of Kansas as an intern in the strength and conditioning program. She is a USAW Sports Performance Coach, ViPR Pro, FMS Expert, PTA Global, and holds many other credentials and certifications from an array of fitness companies. Casey has been a fitness educator and boot camp director for striving fitness professionals at Professional Fitness Institute. She values and teaches with the vision that no one feels alone. As a trainer, Casey’s focal point has been sports performance and functional movement. Her main focus has been working with amateur, collegiate, and professional athletes. Casey’s energy, dedication, and drive will always keep her experiences with those she teaches life changing. Scott Mitchell, Core-Tex™ Master Trainer
Scott Mitchell, MS is a Master Instructor for the National Academy of Sports Medicine, a Master Instructor for Power Plate and a Master Instructor for Core-Tex™ where he continues to teach performance and fitness workshops. In the recent past he was an adjunct faculty member for the California University of Pennsylvania’s Masters of Exercise Science program. Students and workshop attendees include strength and conditioning coaches, athletic trainers, personal trainers, physical therapists and chiropractors.
After playing football at UCLA and graduating with a sociology degree, Mitchell later received his Masters of Exercise Science from the California University of Pennsylvania and is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS), National Academy of Sports Medicine (Performance Enhancement Specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist) and has completed the Advanced Certification through PTA Global. Currently Mitchell is at Oaks Christian Middle School where he is an educator and coach. He teaches physical education, strength and conditioning, and coaches football and track and field. Mitchell aims to use his years of experience and education to create an experience that is not “PE as usual”, but where kids grow in their understanding of the human body and experience how the body was created to move, play and respond. Scott currently resides in Venice Beach, California with his wife and two sons.
