The Core-Tex™ is the only device on the market that allows for movement in all three planes of motion AND whose base translates at the same time. All other devices either work in all three planes on a fixed axis with no translation OR translate in only one plane (typically the frontal plane). The patented design of the Core-Tex™ allows the base to move like no other training environment. This allows for an almost infinite number of combination movements while working on the Core-Tex™.
The Core-Tex™ encourages movement and change of direction to maximize the integration of the body’s receptors from the foot and ankle all the way up to neck, eyes and inner ears. This causes the body to react and respond just as is required with real world activities and sports. All other balance devices on the market strive for improved static stabilization.
The applications of the Core-Tex™ are exciting and the benefits exponential over other devices. Anything that you can do on another form of balance equipment, you can do on the Core-Tex™ with superior results.
Research
The Core-Tex™ is pending study through the biomechanics department of San Diego State University and Belmont University. The research at SDSU is being overseen by Dan Cipriani PhD, P.T. Doctor Cipriani has extensive experience in biomechanical and orthopedic research and is one of the leading researches on scientific validity of commercially available pieces of equipment. The research at Belmont University is being overseen by Mike Voight PhD, P.T. Doctor Voight has done extensive research in neuromuscular training and is one of the lead lecturers for the Titleist Performance Institute.
